Job Description

A Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials, maintaining cost-effective relationships with suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and procurement: Source and procure materials, components, and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

  • Supplier management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring quality standards.

  • Contract management: Manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.

  • Market analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers, trends, and opportunities for cost savings.

  • Cost reduction initiatives: Implement cost reduction initiatives, including value analysis and supplier rationalization.

  • Inventory management: Collaborate with inventory management team to ensure optimal inventory levels.

  • Supply chain optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize supply chain operations, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

  • Manage purchase activities for DGs, Export – Import for compressors.

  • Follow up with Suppliers and handle payment calls.

  • Manage Indents & long lead items. Conduct review with head Engg.

  • Maintain files - Planning sheet, stock & Inventory, Purchase Orders & Quotations.
